Mount Kosciuszko

Address: Kosciuszko Road, Kosciuszko National Park, NSW, Australia.

A 5 hours drive from Sydney or Melbourne.

This place is equally beautiful in Summer or Winter.

If you visit in summer, keep driving on Kosciuszko Road until you reach the last point at Charlotte Pass. The road is fully sealed and suitable for any type of car. Toilet facility next to the car park. No food available, so better have your own arrangement. The weather could be very different even in summer, so be prepared for cold and rain.

From here you can have a 360 view from the Charlotte Pass Boardwalk Lookout.

And, you can walk up to the Summit. Elevation 2228 meters (7309.7 feet)

And if you visit in Winter, Kosciuszko Road will be blocked off depending on the snow clearence. Your best place to be would be Perisher valley. You might have to use wheel chain if you are not driving a 4WD. You can hire Ski, Toboggans, boots etc. from Jindabyne or Cooma on your way to the snow. As shops at Perisher may run out of accessories because of its popularity.

Check the video for a Summer look on Mount Kosciuszko.
